Ripplefold Curtains
Pinch Pleat Curtains
Drapery Pleat Styles
Lutron drapery track systems electronically operate ripplefold curtains and pinch pleat curtains. Elegantly, quietly and conveniently control daylight.
Ripplefold Drapery Style
Ripplefold drapery style is named for their soft ripple-like folds created by the fabric as it hangs from the track. The finished look with soft waves is a popular choice for modern interiors. The drapery is snapped directly to the carriers on the track. Lutron ripplefold tracks are available in three fullness factors: 80%, 100% and 120%. Fullness of the curtains is based on your selected carrier spacing.
Pinch Pleat Drapery Style
Pinch pleat drapery style is a classic, highly versatile, traditional look that never goes out of style. It’s named for the pleated look created at the top of the curtain by pinched gatherings of the fabric. Pins on the back of the drapery are simply looped through the carriers on the track when installed. Our recommendation for best performance would be to place a drapery hook setting of 1/2 inch from the top of the curtain.

Curtain Draw Style
We have many curtain draw styles available for you to choose if you have a preference in which direction your curtains should be opened. The style chosen below will decide where the stack back of the drapery will lay.
Left Curtain Draw
If you prefer to draw you curtain to the left, the drive will be located on the left-hand side, and the carrier opens drapery from the right toward the left. (Drive remains hidden behind the stack back.)
Right Curtain Draw
If you prefer to draw your curtains to the right, the drive is located on the right-hand side, and the carrier opens drapery from the left toward the right. (Drive remains hidden behind the stackback.)
Center Curtain Draw
If you prefer to draw your curtains to the center, one drive uses two carriers to open the drapery from the center to the left and right simultaneously. (Drive can be located on the left or right, while remaining hidden behind the stack back.)
Manually Open Curtains
Lutron drapery track system are available with a manual open carrier for curtain fabric panels weighing up to 70 lbs. It uses a patented spring release system that is field-adjustable customized to your needs. When the curtain is manually pulled, the master carrier releases allowing the drapery to open.
Benefits of having a manual open feature on your motorized curtains:
- Operate your motorized curtains during a power outage
- Prevent damage to your track system if someone pulls open your drapery manually by accident
