Fabrics Made From Ocean Plastic

Explore and select an exclusive fabric style made with recovered shoreline plastic. Hunter Douglas has partnered with Bionic® to fabricate a yarn that is engineered from recovered marine and coastal plastic. The program has reclaimed over 30 tons of washed ashore plastic from our oceans and turned it into GreenScreen® Sea-Tex™ screen shade fabrics.

The new Sea-Tex fabrics are available in 5 neutral tones, each with a 3% openness.

Dual Roller Shades

Screen Duolite® shades is a one shade solution. Combines a 10% openness screen fabric with a room-darkening liner. The front layer is a light filtering sheer fabric. The back layer is a room-darkening opaque liner. The back shade can be adjusted to your desired light and privacy. The liner cannot be operated separately from the decorative fabric.

Dual Roller Shades allow you to have two screen shade fabrics with different openness factors built into one window, each with independent operation.

Continuous Cord Loop: Opt for the clutch-operated continuous cord loop that works on the principle of a pulley, rotating a clutch to raise or lower the solar shade.

Cordless: A traditional spring-assisted system is hidden inside the headrail offers fuss-free, cordless operation for your solar roller shades.

Dual Roller: Our Dual Roller Shades feature two different fabrics that operate independently, providing many options for design, light control and privacy.

What's the difference between Duolite vs. Dual Roller Shades?

Duolite Shades has a sheer fabric as the front layer and a room-darkening liner as the back layer. The liner and shade are all within the same tube and the same large square cassette. The liner cannot be operated separately from the decorative fabric. Dual Roller Shades offer two shades built into the same top treatment, each with independent operation. Dual Roller is best to use when there’s sufficient mounting depth available. It is suggested to use a Fabric Valance over the Dual Roller bracket option to cover the large size bracket. Dual Roller has limited sizes and many excluded fabrics.
